About Dr Alpert

Dr. Alpert received her  Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Harvard  University.  She was a pre-doctoral fellow  at Mount  Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, and a post-doctoral fellow at the University of California, Berkeley, where she received training in Brief Psychotherapy.

Dr. Alpert's teaching experiences have included  Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the University of California School of Medicine in San Francisco,  Director of Group Psychotherapy Training at McCauley Neuropsychiatric Institute in San Francisco, and Director of Post Doctoral Training in the Department of Psychiatry at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in South San Francisco.

Dr. Alpert is a past President of the Northern California Group Psychotherapy Society, and a Fellow of the American Group Psychotherapy Association.  She regularly conducts  workshops and presentations on group psychotherapy, both locally and nationally.
